How a Bill Becomes a Law

Jada's class finds lead in the school water fountains and wants a law. Students follow that idea through the House, the Senate, and the President's desk, see how committees, floor votes, filibusters, and vetoes work, trace the real Juneteenth law, and learn how to contact their own members of Congress.

Grades 7–9 · Civics, social studies, government
